In the last few weeks, we’ve made quite a few strides on our app. We learned and implemented two algorithms for pathfinding: dijkstra and theta star. Many of the team members have experience in algorithms for competitive programming, so this was an interesting and challenging real-life application of our knowledge.
We added all the landing sites to our app and finished the communication points aspect. We’ve been working on improving the user interface, and we still have a long way to go. We have finalized our first-person player, a fully-equipped astronaut.
We are making progress on the CAD model for the rover, to be completed soon. Some team members are also working on adding a basic multiplayer feature, allowing for interaction between users. In our final stretch, we hope to complete the app entirely, deploy it to this very website, and start working on a submission video displaying it.
